The February 13, Wednesday Wanderer outing is planned to meet at 10:00 AM in the multipurpose room at the new Trailhead building at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis (which BTW, is a very nice new building). Cross country skiing, hiking or snowshoeing will begin at 10:15. The address for this building is 1221 Theodore Wirth Pkwy, and parking there is free.
I plan to lead a skiing outing, so if anyone else is interested in leading other outings, please let me know beforehand, or these plans can also be made at the Trailhead. If interested in skiing, you need a season pass for Mpls parks, or if you don't have one, you can purchase a Natural Snow daily pass for $8, or an All Access daily pass for $20 at the Trailhead, or on-line. I plan on skiing on the natural snow trails, but if the conditions of these trails are not good, the skiing on the man made trails is usually good, but an All Access pass is required for these trails. For food options after the outings, there is an interesting new cajun restaurant at the Trailhead, which serves sandwiches and lunches, or you can also bring a bag lunch.
