October General Meeting: Odd Osland, Speaker
Odd Osland grew up in Norway, of course skiing as a youngster. In the 70's he emigrated to the US and eventually settled in the Twin Cities area. His profession was as a manufacturing engineer, but his avocation has always been cross country skiing. Now over 80, he has been described as a 'relentless skier' and is known for his longevity and his discipline. In 2022, he returned from Austria and the Masters World Cup Cross Country Ski Championships with four medals. That year he also competed in Sisu Ski Fest in Ironwood, the City of Lakes Loppet and the American Birkebeiner. Most importantly, he still talks of the joy of the sport. Come to hear his thoughts on World Cup competition and cross country skiing no matter your age. This meeting will be in-person or Zoom.
