Meet at our new location: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 104 S Snelling Ave in St. Paul (park in lot on north side of church). Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m. with a short business meeting and the program starting at 7:00. Program: “Mushrooms 101 - What Mushrooms Are and Basic Identification.” Presented by John Lamprecht, president of the MN Mycological Society, this program will help separate fact from fiction regarding mushrooms. You will learn how to easily place nearly any of the hundreds of mushrooms we can find in Minnesota in one of five groups (including our state fungus, the Morel). Many photos are featured to help you better identify what it is you are seeing as you walk in the woods, or even your yards and gardens.
