July 15, Wed {WW} Hike Long Meadow Lake. Meet at 9 a.m. at 9898 Old Cedar Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55425. Park at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge lot off Old Cedar Avenue South. Start hiking at 9:15 a.m. We will hike across the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge, go along the Minnesota River on the Minnesota Valley State Trail, and then return on the Bluff Trail. This is a 7-mile loop and will take about 3 hours. It is mostly flat with some hills on the Bluff Trail. The first part of the hike is on pavement; the Bluff Trail is dirt, sand, and boardwalk. Bring a picnic bag lunch to eat in the pavilion after the hike.
