Feb 8-13, Sun-Fri {A} Ski Trip to Calumet, MI. This 5-night ski trip to Calumet will be similar to last year’s trip when we stayed in VRBOs. There are several trails to ski: Swedetown, Maasto Hihto, Michigan Tech, and Eagle Harbor. The main cost will be the lodging and I estimate it will be around $300 per person. This will depend on which VRBOs are available and room arrangements. Other costs will be trail passes, transportation, and food. It is around a 6-hour drive and I anticipate carpooling, as several people have already volunteered to carpool. We will be looking for a volunteer or two to host a couple of dinners. Breakfasts and lunches will be up to the individual.
A deposit of $200/person (check payable to Eric Larson) and a signed trip waiver (available on the NSSTC website) are due by November 1. Please mail both to Eric Larson, 4041 Highland Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110). This deposit will be nonrefundable as it will affect the cost each person will be paying for the VRBO. However, last year there was a wait list and no one lost their deposit if someone on the list took their place on the trip. The remainder of the fee will be due December 15.
