Aug 13, Wed {WW} Second Annual River Hike and Art Museum Tour. Meet at 10 a.m. in front of the Masonic Institute for Brain Development, 2025 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Begin hiking at 10:15 a.m. Street parking is available. From there, we will head down the path off East River Road by Cecil Street. We will continue hiking close to the river and past the University of Minnesota boathouse. After the boathouse, we will head up East River Road to the Weisman Art Museum. There is free admission and an option to cool off and briefly explore this small, eclectic museum. Bring a snack if you would like to sit and relax at one of the outdoor patios on campus. We will then cross over the Washington Bridge to the West Bank and head to West River Road. The hike will continue over the Franklin Bridge and back to East River Parkway. The route will be between 4.5 and 5 miles. After the hike, we can discuss possible nearby lunch options for those interested.
