August 3, Wed {WW} Hike Battle Creek East Regional Park.  Meet at 10 a.m. at 2300 Upper Afton Road, Maplewood, MN  55119.  Take the first left into the area with the water park and pavilion.  Park and meet near the pavilion to begin hiking at 10:15 a.m. rain or shine.  Hike will be 4-5 miles on paved and unpaved trails, some hilly, though there are many flat, shorter options available.  Check out the progress the park has made toward turning the area back into an oak savanna by 2025.  Bring a bag picnic lunch to eat at the picnic tables in the covered pavilion after the hike.  The pavilion has indoor restrooms and drinking faucets.
