The North Arm trails near Ely, MN have been a favorite of the North Stars for many years. These are single-track ski trails through the woods into the BWCAW that we have helped develop and maintain. No machine grooming, except for a few km right around the cabins and outside the Boundary Waters. Join us as we hike into the Boundary Waters to clear these beautiful trails with hand tools provided by the US Forest Service. Camp du Nord provides meals Friday morning thru Sunday brunch and lodging in the Northland Village cabins. Drive up Thursday, either eat dinner in Ely or bring something out to camp to fix (there are full kitchens in each cabin). We work all day Friday and Saturday and have the option to paddle or hike on Sunday before and/or after brunch. Gas reimbursement per club policy for those who carpool. Terrence Smith will call a dance for us this weekend to help loosen our tired muscles (it really does help) and the sauna is ready and waiting for us.There is a limit of 20 people, so sign up early.
