Jan 12, Tues - North Star Zoom Meeting. 7:00 p.m. “Winter Animal Tracks”: Learn from presenter Tim Lewis about the impressions mammals leave on the snow, and interpret what they were up to.
Tim tells us that although the winter blanket of snow puts many animals to rest, from jumping mice and woodchucks to turtles and frogs, it also provides a blank slate on which other animals leave stories of their passage. Focusing mostly on mammals as their tracks are clearer and more plentiful, participants will learn to identify the type of animal that left the impressions in the snow and interpret what they were up to. This will add more enjoyment to your skiing outings.
