Jan 9, Thurs {A} Ski at Elm Creek. We will meet at 10:00 AM and start to ski at 10:30 AM. We will gather inside the facility at the ticketing area. This park has man-made ski trails which are a good back-up plan if the snow is not good. They also have many other trails for skiers of various ability levels if the snow is cooperative. In addition, they offer snow-tubing for those who are adventurous. Eastman Nature Center is a short drive from the main visitor center as an after-ski activity. They have good bird watching and snow shoeing there. The visitor center has good parking, a very nice facility for eating with cafeteria food as well as space for people to eat who choose to bring their own lunch. They do offer ski rental. You need to purchase a day-pass for $9 to ski. Tubing is an additional cost. FFI: Katherine Schafer 612-255-0915; schaferkatherine@gmail.com
