Bike 4 Countries and 2 Big Lakes
Join us for 2 weeks of biking in Germany, Switzerland and a bit of Austria and Liechtenstein. Starting and ending in Constance, Germany we’ll spend 2 weeks biking along Lake Zurich and around most of Lake Constance, the source of the Rhine River and the largest lake in Europe. While there are some hills, most of the biking is relatively flat, following the scenic lake shore. We will be mostly on paths, but there is some road biking. Much of the scenery is cosmopolitan, with some areas of vineyards and small farms. Rhein Falls, near Schaffhausen, Switzerland is spectacular. Several layover days are included to enjoy the charming local towns. These include St Gallen, Lindau, and Schaffhausen. Estimated cost of the bike tour only is $2350 (double occupancy, $2900 single) which includes lodging, buffet breakfasts, luggage transport, standard bike, some train and ferry rides and maps. Dinners, bakery stops along the way, ebike rental and incidentals are on your own. Air and train fare to Zurich and Constance are NOT included, though we will be happy to help you with booking your airfare if needed. Dates, Sept 11 - 25, 2020.
