Giant's Ridge

For many North Stars (52 this year) the March Giant's Ridge trip is an annual ritual to mark the change of seasons from summer to winter. This year's participants were rewarded with ample snow and three days of a cloudless deep blue sky - the perfect backdrop for a birch forest.

In addition to the uniqueness of being able to ride up the hills this trip gives participants the opportunity to see slides and hear stories about leader Bob's previous summer's annual arctic adventure.       The trip usually coincides with Giant's Ridge's Spring Fling making people watching an added plus. This year's group enjoyed a special treat - after dinner entertainment by an enthusiastic Canadian pipe band.
