We skied at Loveland
Basin and Valley
Ski Area Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
under beautiful blue, sunny skies and lovely temperatures. The snow gods had
abandoned us though and the slopes were a tad icy and no fresh snow. Something we seemed
to be used to this winter.
There were
plenty of options for those of us
(namely me) who don’t downhill often and some tougher stuff for
those who do. Best
of all there were very few lift lines
and there were times we felt like we had the slopes to ourselves.
Our highlight evening was
dinner at the
New Prague Restaurant. The owner,
George, and his sidekick waiter were more than entertaining and the food
was incredible.
I’m not sure Charlotte has recovered from when George told
her the Caesar salad
would cost $22.50. (He was just kidding.)
George topped the evening off
with a round of Apple Schnapps for the
crowd.
