Despite the warm temperatures
and icy conditions some 47 odd North Stars (enter your own joke here)
enjoyed getting
out for the annual trip to Camp
Hiawatha near Grand Rapids the end of January. This is a representation of
a larger group
who had a good time skiing to Trout Lake, a three mile trek,
to explore the Joyce
Estate. The historically preserved site includes a number of
cabins and out buildings
that remain from an estate originally
owned by a lumber baron in the 1920's. Looking
closer at the photo I see there might
be something to this global warming.
